Serpentime: The Torrent of Time
A downloadable game
Serpentime: The Torrent of Time
You awake to a world whose reality is as fragmented as your memories of who you are and how you got here. Your companions who seem both familiar and strange are also unable to recall their past. Even more frightening are the gifts that only you seem to possess ... gifts to affect time.
Although I started developing this game over a year ago, it has recently changed direction radically. In the beginning of 2024, I started designing an all new interface, storyline, game features and artwork. This retro dungeon crawler is inspired by games such as Wizardry 6/7, Lands of Lore and Realms of Arkania.
Features include:
- Turned-based combat with features that don't waste time
- NPC interactions that are reminiscent of story rich visual novels
- Skill based character progression
- A semi-open world with a primary over arching storyline that you choose to complete when you want to
- Designed and procedural dungeons for those that like the grind
This game is still in development so I will update screenshots as things change and evolve. Keep an eye out for new dev logs as the game progresses. It is too soon to know when the game will be ready for publishing.
Since this game is built using DragonRuby, it will be initially made available for Windows, MacOS and Linux. Other platforms may follow.
